Ahead of the forthcoming general elections in the country, the campaign train of the Ogun state House of Assembly candidate in Obafemi Owode Local Goverenment constituency, Honourable Kayode Damilola Soneye popularly known as SDK and his House of Representative counterpart, Olumide Osoba stormed Oke-Afa community and environs to meet and greet with the residents of the communities.

The two leading APC candidates also used the opportunity to reel out fulfilled promises and ask for votes in the coming elections in the country.
Top dignitaries and community political office holders were on ground to welcome the candidates to the community.
Among those in attendance were, the Baale of Sanni Omotedo, Oke-Afa, Mufutau Sanni; Baale of Ilupeju Magboro, Akanni Toriola, Zonal CDC Chairman, Engineer Jimi, Oke-Afa CDC, Honourable Shobowale, Oke-Afa CDC secretary Broderick Okeoguale, All Progressive Congress Youth Leader, Quadri Oluomo, the Youth Leader of Oke-Afa CDC, Gbenga Lawal, Member APC presidential campaign committee, Jeff Moghalu among many others.
Also fully represented are, Skilled workers, Auto-Mechanics, Hairdressers Association, Market women Union, CAN president and Muslim leaders.
While addressing the candidates, the APC youth leader in the community, Quadri Oluomo appealed to them to help the community develop, lamenting the lack of basic amenities in Oke-Afa and environs,
He noted that the community needs both primary and secondary schools as students have to travel far to attend schools.
He hammered on the need to fix the Oke-Afa road, saying it usually get messy during rainy season.
Alhaja Jaramose the Igboretedo woman leader, appealed to the candidates to empower women and sought for help for the widows in the community.

She noted that there are many widows who do not have anyone to turn to for help as they have become redundant in the community.
Another Speaker, Mrs Nwanze of the Progress CDA asked for the ‘Owo Dapo’ loan given to women in the state without interest, saying the project is yet to get to Oke-Afa and neighbouring communities.
Another speaker, member of the Presidential Campaign Committee, Jeff Moghalu admonished the gathering to vote for credible and trusted leaders, adding that the the duo of SDK and Olumide Osoba are worthy of the peoples’ vote.
Continuing, he said the people of Magboro should vote for Tinubu and running mate Shettima as they have proven to be the best among the rest.
” Tinubu and Shetimma have proven their mettle in time past as the governors of their state. they have good track records and will serve the country well in their best capacity” He said.
However, In their reactions and resolutions, the two visiting candidates SDK and Osoba spoke through the Chairman of Obafemi Owode Local Government, Honourable Ogunsola Adesina and he promised to fix some of the problems.
They made a promise of building a primary school that will go into full operation by next academic session.
They promise to intimate the state government on the need for a secondary school in the community.
They promised to look into the deplorable road situation at the border of Oke-Afa and Ilupeju with the promise that it would be fixed in due time.
On the request for transformer in the community, the two candidates promised to provide them with one or two very soon.
On the issue of interest free loans, the APC Woman leader said one Mrs cole is in Charge of Oke-Afa, Magboro, Ibafo and environs.
Above all, the candidates promised to extend the dividends of democracy to Oke-Afa and environs while appealing for their votes in the coming elections.
