The University of Benin (UNIBEN) has announced the release of results for its recently concluded Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening examinations.
Candidates who took part in the exercise can now log in to their personal pages on the UNIBEN portal to check their scores.
The announcement was made on Tuesday in Benin City, Edo State, by the institution’s Public Relations Officer, Dr. Benedicta Ehanire.
She explained that while candidates can already view their results, they should ignore the “NOT ADMITTED” message currently displayed on some result slips.
Dr. Ehanire clarified that the message does not mean admission has been denied. Rather, it reflects the fact that the admission process is still ongoing.
She noted that the exercise officially began this month and will continue until October 31, in line with the timetable set by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
According to her, all candidates who scored 50 percent or higher in the screening are qualified to be considered for admission, provided they also satisfy the university’s admission requirements and JAMB’s recommended guidelines.
She added that the institution will release further details about the admission process in due course, advising candidates to remain patient and to regularly check the official UNIBEN website for updates.
The Public Relations Officer also reminded candidates that the screening was only one stage of the admission process, and final offers of admission will depend on merit, catchment area policies, and other approved criteria.
