The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has emerged victorious in all 20 local government areas in the elections held on Saturday, August 17, in Bauchi State.

The results were announced by Alhaji Ahmed Makama, the Executive Chairman of the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission (BASIEC), on Saturday night.
Prior to the election, the All Progressives Congress (APC) expressed concerns about potential manipulation of the results by the ruling PDP and BASIEC.
The APC is expected to contest the results. The newly elected Chairmen are set to be sworn in on Sunday, August 18.
